Alkali Scientific SecureSeal™ Polyester Sealing Film, 100/pk
Eliminates the “edge effect” which can occur with plate lids (e.g. greater evaporation in the outside plate wells). Provides a secure seal and is easy to remove. Rigid polyester film features good clarity and easy handling. Can be used as a temporary economical seal while awaiting further processing. Features two end-tabs with perforations. Minimizes evaporation, prevents well-to-well contamination and spillage.
Alkali Scientific ThermaSeal™, Optically Clear Sealing Film, 100/pk
ThermaSeal RTS™ Optically Clear, Silicone Adhesive provides an extremely strong seal to minimize evaporation. The silicone adhesive is non-tacky until pressure is applied to the sealing surface which then creates a secure bond around the wells and perimeter of the plate. Also ideal for dry samples (e.g. soil, seeds, insects, etc.) because the non-activated adhesive above the wells remains non-tacky. A roller or sealing paddle is highly recommended for use with this product to ensure consistent and adequate pressure is applied during the sealing process. Certified DNase- & RNase- free.
Alkali Scientific Xtreme™ High-Strength Sealing Film, 100/pk
Xtreme™ Seal features an extra-strong thick adhesive to minimize evaporation, yet removes easily without leaving residue on the plate. Features chamfered corners to eliminate plate overhang for robotics applications and tight storage conditions. Certified DNase- & RNase- free. Ideal for use with raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates. Selection of the proper film size will minimize evaporation. The film should not overhang or ride up the wall of a raised-rim plate. More complete coverage of skirted flat-top plates will reduce evaporation in the outer wells. End-tab removal before thermal cycling is highly recommended.

Designed for 96-well microplates where well-to-well contamination and crossover is of critical concern. The easy-piercing film allows for direct sample recovery with single and multichannel pipettors or robotic probes. The adhesive-free zone above each well prevents adhesive fouling of the pipet tip or probe, ultimately minimizing the amount of adhesive that comes into contact with the sample.
